Strains on Solids

The result tables of the Strains on Solids category contain the result values of the determined strains.

Info

The strains of solids are determined if you have activated the Strain calculation check box in the Global Settings dialog box.

The solid strains are sorted in the tabs according to the following criteria:

  • Loads (design situations, load combinations)
  • Solid Properties (Materials)
  • Objects (surfaces, solids, FE mesh points)

Solid No.

For each strain type, this column displays the number of the solid for which the largest value is available.

Mesh Node No.

This column displays the number of the FE mesh node for which the maximum strain has been determined.

If you have specified the "Calculate results in grid point" option in the Global Settings dialog box if you have set the option 'Calculate stresses on grid point', the numbers of the grid points are shown in this column. The results are then available in the Surface Grid of the boundary surfaces.

Mesh Node Coordinates

The global coordinates X, Y, and Z of the FE mesh nodes are shown in three columns.

Design Situation

This column indicates the number of the Design Situation for which the individual stresses are available.

Loading

This column displays the numbers of the load or result combinations that are governing for the respective stress.

Strain type

This column lists the strain types that you can define for the Solid Configurations .

Strain Provided

RFEM shows the existing strain for each strain type.
